Hi-Activ active ice adds an antimicrobial and antioxidant effect, thanks to the natural essential oils embedded in the ice acting as preservatives. It significantly preserves freshness, improves organoleptic quality, extends shelf life, and maintains greater food safety. The natural antimicrobial agents are stable and are released over a prolonged period as the ice begins to melt upon contact with the product. This is a clean release with no migration.
